Security Audits
|
|
| |
Keeping
your company's data network secure is as important if not more
so than protecting assets. In the event of a malicious third
party accessing your network, the potential for harm is tremendous.
They could render all your PC systems inoperative, steal your
customer details, corrupt important records such as accounts
and plant viruses. The reality of such attacks can prevent companies
from functioning for months, and good customer relations may
never be restored. |
|
| |
In order
to effectively take preventory action you first need to know
your network's vulnerabilities. mmt3's Security Audit is an
assesment of your network / data security, highlighting its
weaknesses and proposing solutions that will increase your security
to a suitable level. A Security Audit is based round the following
four areas of vulnerability. |
|
| |
| |
|
Network
access (cabled & wireless) |
|
| |
|
Denial
of Service (server & connection) |
|
| |
|
Data
interception (internet, email, wireless) |
|
| |
|
User
error (on-site & remote) |
|
|
| |
Before a
Security Audit can take place you must first sign and return
an 'Authority to test security" order. Audits are conducted
in two stages. First mmt3 will try to gain access to your network
and intercept data remotely. After this stage is complete an
mmt3 consultant will visit and attempt to perform the same tasks.
They will also assess your system's DoS protection and ask your
staff questions about their working practices. You will not
be told the results of the Assesments until 7 days after the
site visit as it may be necessary to repeat a number of tasks
remotely. At the end of the process you will be sent a detailed
Audit explaing the vulnerabilities found, how they were found,
and what needs to be done to correct them. If required, mmt3
can conduct audits convertly often without your staff knowledge. |
